BiographyBryan Bartlett "Bart" Starr is a former American football player who evolved as quarterback.
He studied at the University of Alabama and played for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
It is drafted in 1956 at the 200th position (seventeenth round) by the Green Bay Packers. There will be three times NFL champion (1961, 1962 and 1965) and twice winner of the Super Bowl (I and II) after the creation of the event, being the same MVP the last two. Quarterback Vince Lombardi, he remained his entire career in the franchise. It will also be NFL MVP in 1966.
He was selected to four Pro Bowls (1960, 1961, 1962 and 1966) and will be All-Pro twice (1961 and 1966). It is part of the NFL team of the decade was 1960 and in 1977 inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His number was retired by the Packers.
After he had retired, he was coach of the Packers from 1975 to 1983.
