Bono is not excelled in school, and was best known for being good at both talking to himself and to win discussions. This ability made him a popular man among his fellow students. He loved the dramatic, and also took part in the school theater. His closest circle consisted of an artist sprouts, and it was from one of these, Guggi, that he was nicknamed Bono Vox. In 1976, he replied in a note posted by Larry Mullen Jr. at the school where Mullen searched for members of a new group. The band that was formed was eventually U2. Bono actually had ambitions to be a guitarist, but a lack of motor skills led him behind the microphone stand instead. Singing voice was not much to brag about at first, but he had a charisma that made the other band members wanted to keep him. And it is this radiation that has made U2 the world's biggest bands. The voice has definitely improved, but Bono himself has stated on numerous occasions that he sees himself as a great singer and that he wants to be better. Yet he has touched and engaged numerous with his voice and his lyrics. Bono has always been politically active, and have used their position to spread their message. In the 80s he was even in Africa to help starving people, and supported campaigns such as Live Aid. He was also strongly against terrorist acts in Ireland, as particularly expressed through the phrase "Fuck the revolution" in the concert film Rattle And Hum In the early 90th century did Bono self-mockery of the self solemn poseurs many believed he had been through the stage characters The Mirror Ball Man (a parody of TV evangelists worldwide) and Mr. MacPhisto (a mixture of devil and Elvis). Bono and former IMF director Horst Koehler to discuss debt relief during a meeting in Prague in 2000 After the 90-century irony-trip, Bono has again fought for the poor. Through its status as lead singer for one of the world's biggest rock bands, and politicians' PR frenzy, he conceded that few rockers have been before him and spread his message about deleting the debts of countries in the Third World. He was one of the faces in both the Jubilee 2000 and Make Poverty History campaign and used U2's last tour as a pulpit to help world's poor. He has also been started and the organization DATA (Debt AIDS Trade Africa). For his tireless work has Bono been repeatedly mentioned as one of the nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition to keeping good political speeches, and he is good to praise other artists who have inspired him.
