Charles Kelley (born as Charles Burgess Kelley in Augusta, Georgia) is an American country music singer-songwriter and founding member of Lady Antebellum, a country rock trio formed in 2006 and signed to Capitol Nashville.

Kelley is the son of cardiologist Dr. John W. Gayle Kelley and Kelley. Charles began his musical career at the age of 11 years. His older brother, Josh Kelley, is also a musician and singer. As teenagers, Josh Charles and his older brother John formed a band called Inside Blue, the band released a CD that caught the attention of a major label. In high school he met Dave Kelly Haywood, and at the age of 14 he wrote his first song.

Kelley is married to publicist Cassie McConnell. The couple began dating in 2008 and committed the December 25, 2009 after two years of noviazgo.2 The couple married in a civil ceremony in Nashville in January 2010 then had a destination wedding in the following Summer 2010 in Bahamas.
