William David Trimble, Baron Trimble, is a politician from Northern Ireland who was the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) and was the first Prime of Northern Ireland. In 1998 he shared the Nobel Peace Prize with John Hume. He was a member of parliament from 1990 to 2005 where he was defeated and shortly after resigned as leader of the party. On 6 June 2006 he became a member of the House.

He is married to his former student Daphne Orr, and they have four children. A previous marriage was childless.
