Emma Thompson is an English actress and also screenwriter that examined English Literature at Newnham College, Cambridge where she belonged to Cambridge Footlights. After Cambridge, she was understood by her part in the BBC drama series Fortunes of War, which was based on Olivia Manning's novels. She played against Kenneth Branagh, whom she later married. They were married on 20 August 20 1989. They have played together in the hit movies such as Dead Again, Henry V as well as Much Ado About Nothing, however divorced in October 1995. Thompson married in 2003 with actor Greg Wise, whom she in 1999, child Gaia Romilly with.

Thompson also had leading roles in romantic funnies such as The Tall Guy, as well as much more serious films such as Howards End. The film is based upon EM Forster's novel, as well as she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her analysis. She has played in The Remains of the Day with Anthony Hopkins and also The Winter Guest by supervisor Alan Rickman).
