Ian St. John is a Scottish former footballer.

Ian played as a striker in Liverpool where he summer of 1961 had been acquired from the Motherwell club record of 37 500 pounds. In the FA Cup final against Leeds United in 1965, he made the goal that gave Liverpool its first win the tournament. He was also to become league champions in 1964 and 1966. After 118 goals for Liverpool, he moved in 1971 to Coventry City, where he played one season before finishing his career at Tranmere Rovers. Later he worked as a trainer in Motherwell and Portsmouth.
