Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale was an American naval officer. He was among the most extremely enhanced officers in the United States Navy's history. Stockdale led the air attack from the aircraft carrier USS "Ticonderoga" (CV-14) throughout the Tonkin incident in 1964.
