John Sidney McCain III is an American politician (The Republican party). Both McCain's father and grandfather were admirals in the U.S. Navy. John McCain himself is known for its participation as a pilot in the Vietnam War, and his five and a half years of war captivity in Hanoi.

John McCain left the Navy in 1981 and began with the political work full time. He was in two periods delegate to the House of Representatives in 1986 before he was elected to the Senate. McCain is known as an independent conservative, in the Senate, he has supported a number of issues that the Republican Party has been lukewarm or opposed. John McCain were campaigning to become the Republican Party's presidential candidate in the presidential election in November 2008. After nominating elections 4 March 2008 he had enough delegates to the state to win the nomination with clear majority.
