Josh Lucas is an American actor and producer.

Lucas' parents were active as anti-nuclear activists, before they settled in Arkansas. As a child, Josh Lucas go at least 30 times the residence because his parents always wanted him to offer the most secure home. Unlike his siblings, he did not attend college. Instead, he wanted to devote himself to acting.

The first time he was in 1991 in the television production, the child of Satan on camera. In the following years he appeared in several films, the big breakthrough, however did not succeed. 1993 and 1994 he took supporting roles in theater productions such as survival and the kidnappers. Only eight years later (2002), Lucas was with the films A Beautiful Mind and The Weight of Water. He also played in the same year, alongside Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama and Wolfgang Petersen's 2006 disaster film Poseidon.

Overall, Lucas was involved in over 35 film projects, including in the commercial failure of Stealth (Jamie Foxx).
