Biography

Larry King is an award-winning American journalist and presenter. He was up to 18 December 2010 Head of the interview program Larry King Live, one of the longest running talk shows ever broadcast on television channel CNN.

24. February 1987 he suffered a massive heart attack and underwent bypass surgery quintuplets. The operation was conducted at Cornell Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital of cardiologist Dr. Wayne Isom. As a result of heart attack in 1988 he established The Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which also include David Letterman, who had quintuplets bypass surgery, has provided money through the American Foundation for Courtesy and Grooming, where he is president and largest contributor.

29. June 2010, he announced he would quit as host of Larry King Live, but that he continued to do so-called specials for CNN. Kings first show was 3 June 1985 and his last regular show was 16 December 2010. He was two days later, 18 December, returns with a special episode of Larry King Live on The War Against Cancer. 17. January 2011 took over Britain's Piers Morgan for King of the Piers Morgan Tonight.
