Michelle Wie is an American golfer, she was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and started playing golf when she was 4 years old.

10 years old, in 2000, Wie became the youngest ever to qualify for a USGA championship when she participated in the USGA Women's Amateur Public Links Championship.

In 2002 she became the youngest to qualify for an LPGA tournament, the LPGA Takefuji Classic. In 2003 she played a 66-round of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and thus shared the amateur record for the women's major tournaments. The same year she won the Women's Amateur Public Links and was the youngest ever to win a USGA tournament for adults.
