Biography

Robin Hugh Gibb is a musician, member of the Bee Gees with his brother Barry and his twin brother Maurice, until 2003, date of death of the latter.

Robin Gibb was born in the Isle of Man, son of Hugh Gibb and Barbara Pass. Apart from his two brothers Barry and Maurice, Robin has another brother Andrew (born 1958 and died in 1988) and sister Lesley (born 1947). After living some time in Britain, his family moved to Brisbane in Australia in 1958, where the Gibb brothers began their musical career.

He was diagnosed with colon cancer and liver cancer in 2011. On April 14, 2012, he was admitted in a British hospital, the 16 to 21 April 2012 he was in a coma. He underwent two surgeries in two months.

On 10 April 2012, he should attend the premiere of Titanic, having composed the title "Titanic Requiem". It ranks fourth in Britain.

A film chronicling the career of the Bee Gees is being prepared and would be directed by Steven Spielberg.
