Spielberg and Zemeckis produced with science-fiction film AI: Artificial Intelligence (project director Stanley Kubrick was not implemented) which Spielberg was directing. Spielberg and Zemeckis also produced together animated film Monster House.

Spielberg has also written scripts for several of his films such. Close Encounters of the Third Kind and AI: Artificial Intelligence.

He is the financially most successful filmmaker of all time. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2001 he was appointed Honorary Knight Commander Order of the British Empire.
