Biography

Warren Gamaliel Harding was U.S. 29 president. Harding was president from 1921 until his death in 1923. He was nominated as a compromise within the Republican Party because none of the others, heavier and more serious candidates managed to gather a majority behind him. In retrospect, he is considered one of the weakest and worst presidents the U.S. has had. He was succeeded by Calvin Coolidge when he died suddenly and unexpectedly of what some have said was a poison murder, others with food poisoning.
