Laid up after an accident on the slopes, ski champ Marti Gerrard receives a wrong-number phone call from software tycoon Connor Hill. The two hit it off and become regular phone friends... until Hill's wife is murdered and Marti realises that she may be his only alibi.

In a fit of rage, Greg strongly kills Martin. Marcey, witnessing the act, is frightened and at the very same time captured in an issue.

The Plot
Following the violent event, Greg pleads Marcey to assist him cover the murder. Marcey, who is still in a state of shock, agrees and, together with Greg, they develop an intricate alibi to deflect the impending examinations. The married couple handles a detailed web of lies, involving a break-in at their home and the fabrication of a fictitious handyman who apparently was at your house at the time of the murder.

The Investigation
D.S. Stone, portrayed by Sophie Okonedo, uses up the case and right away senses something suspicious about the couple's alibi. She, together with her assistant D.C. Spalding (Paul Thornley), starts uncovering the fact behind the crime, piecing together proof. Their probe exposes a series of inconsistencies, raising doubts about the alibi that Greg and Marcey had actually so thoroughly prepared. The couple quickly find themselves under pressure as the examination closes in on them.

The Climax
As their alibi begins to crumble, the pressure of deception and shared regret starts to impact Greg and Marcey's relationship. Marcey begins to recognize that she had actually been controlled by Greg for his self-centered intentions. This realization, coupled with the continued suspicions of the investigators, causes the unveiling of the deceptiveness. 'Alibi' ends with Marcey deciding to testify against Greg at his trial.

Efficiency of the star-studded cast, including Michael Kitchen's representation as the guilty other half, and Victoria Smurfit's convincing function as the distressed other half captured in the middle of a moral predicament, add to making the film a fascinating watch. The movie efficiently portrays the desperation emerged from failed relationships and emotions unleashed by latent enthusiasms, taking on themes of betrayal, regret, and the moral standpoint of truth.
