Adam Copeland, better understood by his WWE name, Edge, plays the role of Detective Nick Blades. His character is quite likable, a cop who doesn't play by the book, but has a strong sense of justice. Copeland commendably portrays the hard and rogue investigator with ease. Jamie Kennedy, as District Attorney Theo Gold, does a terrific job in depicting an uptight and ambitious legal representative. His character, designed to be the precise reverse of Blades, develops an entertaining chemistry with Copeland's character, creating a special buddy-cop dynamic.

Supporting Role
Jessica Walter stars as Gold's mom who likewise has an unique fascination for Detective Blades, adding another layer of humor to the movie. Jennifer Esposito plays the function of Gold's estranged other half, Gina, and Alicia Witt plays a press reporter who has an interest in Blades's trial.
