The bulk of the humor and dispute in "Blades of Glory" develops from the clashing personalities and styles of the two skaters as they attempt to set aside their distinctions to pursue a typical goal.

Training and Challenges
The freshly formed set faces a variety of comical barriers, not only from their inability to work together but likewise from other competitors, especially the conniving brother-sister group of Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg, played by Will Arnett and Amy Poehler.
