On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary yellow VW bug.

Introduction
"Bumblebee" is a 2018 American sci-fi action movie that functions as a prequel of the Transformers film series. Directed by Travis Knight and composed by Christina Hodson, the film stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, and the voice of Dylan O'Brien. The plot revolves around a girl who befriends an alien robot named Bumblebee.

Plot
Set in 1987, the film begins on earth, Cybertron as it is on the brink of being overrun by the Decepticons. The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, sends out an Autobot scout, B-127, to Earth to establish a base and keep it safe. B-127 crash-lands in California and is pursued by a Decepticon, where he loses his memory and voice in the taking place fight.

In other places, a teen called Charlie Wilson is fighting with the death of her daddy. She stumbles upon a yellow Volkswagen Beetle in a scrap yard and takes it house. On her birthday, Charlie manages to start the automobile, and to her surprise, it changes into B-127. Currently nonverbal, B-127 takes the radio name, Bumblebee.

Conflict
Charlie and Bumblebee form a bond, and Charlie assist him restore his memories. 2 Decepticons find Bumblebee to Earth, fooling the sector of the U.S. government into helping them. Agent Burns, played by John Cena, reluctantly coordinate with the Decepticons. He slowly ends up being suspicious of their motives as the Decepticons plan to bring in their entire force and conquer Earth.

Climax
Charlie and her next-door neighbor, Memo, find the Decepticons' true intentions and help Bumblebee prevent them from calling their allies. Charlie manages to eliminate a tracking device from Bumblebee, and the climactic fight takes place at a radio tower. Bumblebee has to face off versus the Decepticons to protect Earth.

Resolution
Bumblebee eventually defeats the Decepticons with the aid of Charlie and Memo. Burns, recognizing Bumblebee's honorable intents, chooses to let him go.
