The movie focuses on styles of kindness, strength, and the enduring power of love, all perfectly woven into the ageless story.

Plot Overview
The movie begins with young Ella (Cinderella) delighting in an euphoric youth, loved by her caring moms and dads. Unfortunately, her mom falls ill and, on her deathbed, advises Ella to always "have nerve and be kind". Her father eventually remarries a widow, Lady Tremaine, who has 2 daughters of her own-- Anastasia and Drizella.

After Ella's dad passes away during a company trip, she is left in the care of her stepmother. Girl Tremaine's true nature is exposed as she and her children treat Ella cruelly, gradually lowering her to a servant in her own home. They mockingly nickname her "Cinderella" due to the ash and cinders she often has on her after sleeping by the fireplace for warmth.

Despite her scenarios, Cinderella stays kind-hearted and strong-willed. One day, while riding in the woods, she experiences a lovely stranger, unaware that he is actually Prince Kit. They share a connection, but part without her understanding his real identity.

In the kingdom, the King decides that Kit should wed and a grand ball is announced for him to discover a bride. Everybody in the kingdom is welcomed, consisting of all the eligible maidens. Cinderella wants to participate in, wanting to see the handsome stranger once again, but her stepmother prohibits it, tearing her homemade dress to shreds.

Just as all hope seems lost, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother appears, amazingly changing her rags into a magnificent ball dress, total with glass slippers. The Fairy Godmother turns a pumpkin into a carriage and some mice into horses, cautioning Cinderella that the magic will only last till midnight.

At the ball, Cinderella and the prince share a romantic dance, and they fall deeply in love. Nevertheless, as the clock nears midnight, Cinderella flees, fearing the magic's end. In her rush, she drops one of her glass slippers on the palace steps.

Identified to discover the mysterious maiden, the prince starts a kingdom-wide search. Lady Tremaine, understanding Cinderella was the woman at the ball, locks her away in the attic. Nevertheless, the royal guard, led by the Grand Duke, accompanied by Kit himself, gets here to try the glass slipper on all the ladies in the land.

When the slipper does not fit either of the relatives, Lady Tremaine attempts to negotiate a favorable outcome for herself and her children. Simply then, Cinderella is found by the palace's footman, who heard her singing. The glass slipper fits perfectly, and the truth of her identity is revealed.
