Introduction
"Circus of Fear", likewise referred to as "Psycho-Circus" in the United States, is a 1966 British secret and scary function movie directed by John Llewellyn Moxey. The movie stars Christopher Lee, Leo Genn, Anthony Newlands, and Klaus Kinski. It was based upon a story by Edgar Wallace, a prolific British crime writer.

Plot
"Circus of Fear" initiates with an action-packed sequence involving a bold daytime break-in of an armored truck crossing the Tower Bridge in London. Prior to escaping, among the gang members eliminates a guard, causing a city-wide search for the culprits. Meanwhile, the loot winds up at a taking a trip circus, where things get progressively intricate and strange.

The circus is a cover-up for the offenders with a variety of curious characters consisting of a disfigured lion tamer named Gregor (played by Christopher Lee), a vengeful knife thrower, a suspicious ringmaster (played by Anthony Newlands), and an enigmatic character named Manfred (played by Klaus Kinski), among others.

Mid-Section Suspense and Mystery
The plot thickens when random murders happen within the circus steady, stimulating the interest of Scotland Yard investigators Elliot and French, played by Leo Genn and John Merivale. The detectives soon discover themselves cornered by a web of suspicion, deceit, and treachery. As a result, the spotlight falls on Gregor after it is revealed that he's the sibling of the departed guard from the break-in.

Throughout the movie, Gregor, the male behind the mask, creates unpredictability amongst the audience as he provides an eery performance that controls the circus atmosphere. The tensions intensify as the detectives race versus time to unmask the killer prior to he strikes once again.

Climax and Conclusion
Unfolding a fascinating tale, the movie reaches its climax when the true identity of the killer is revealed after a thrilling lion cage scene. The knife thrower who was seeking revenge against Gregor for a past occurrence was none besides the killer himself. His intention was purely personal, and the loot from the burglary acted as a red herring plot device instead of a true motive.

Simultaneously, the frightened ringmaster confesses that he was the expert throughout the robbery and the stolen money was hidden inside the circus. The investigators without delay jail the ringmaster and the knife thrower, bringing justice to the victims and the climax to a gratifying denouement.

Evaluation
"Circus of Fear" is a gripping suspense thriller with elements of secret and scary. The film masterfully explores an intriguing plot put in a non-traditional setting for a criminal offense narrative - a circus. The efficiencies of the lead actors, particularly Lee's disfigured lion tamer, add depth and tension to the story, making it an amusing expect traditional horror-mystery lovers. The mix of atmospheric style, plot surprises, and vibrant characters makes for a memorable amalgamation of thriller and intrigue.

Although it might do not have some modern-day special effects, Moxey's direction, combined with Wallace's storytelling, delivers a timeless classic that survives the test of time. It is a must-watch for anyone who delights in the thrilling mix of mystery and scary in an unique setting.
