An outlaw named Guerrero Hernandez is shot in the back and killed whilst attempting to free his half-brother from a small-town prison. Making a deal with the devil, Hernandez returns from the dead to take his revenge.

Movie Summary
The film "Dead in Tombstone" (2013) is a direct-to-video western action fantasy movie directed by Roel Reiné. It stars Hollywood actor, Danny Trejo, whose character, Guerrero Hernandez, headings a journey from his ruthless criminal life to a cruel afterlife, filled with supernatural elements and violent confrontations.

Plot
The film begins in the wild west setting, where Guerrero leads the Blackwater Gang of criminals. Nevertheless, a coup, initiated by his half-brother Red Hernandez (Anthony Michael Hall), sees Guerrero eliminated and buried in the village of Tombstone.

Cut to the fiery underworld, where Lucifer (Mickey Rourke) is busy punishing the sinners, and Guerrero strikes a bargain with him. He is returned to the world of the living to avenge his murder, but with a twist. Guerrero should eliminate all his 6 previous gang members prior to the end of the day, otherwise his soul would come from the devil for eternity.

Retribution and Redemption
On his return, Guerrero finds out that Red and his gang have actually taken control of the town. One by one, Guerrero starts eliminating each gang member, however his vendetta mission is hard due to the gang's stranglehold on the town. There are likewise subplots involving a love interest with a local female and the constable's child, and glances of his remorse for his previous misdeed.

At the same time, the supernatural element includes a time restriction. While on his mission, a mystic clock tattoo on Guerrero's arm is ticking away, suggesting the staying time to conserve his soul. But his growing compassion for the town's individuals and the worthy choices he takes versus his bro strongly reveal his course to redemption.

Conclusion
Even in his redemption pursuits, he anticipbates the last showdown with Red. As the clock unwind, he successfully kills all the gang members but realizes that he needs to eliminate his bro too to satisfy the devil's pact. The battle takes place with both the brothers dying on their injuries.

Guerrero returns to hell however with a twist in the negotiation. Facts reveal that he is the son of a fallen angel who battled Satan. The devil, not able to claim Guerrero's soul, returns him to life yet once again. In the end, a resurrected Guerrero flights off with the redemption and an opportunity of living his life anew, implying an open ending for follows up.
