Plot

After finding out that their buddy Linus has terminal cancer and will not live long enough to see the release of the much-anticipated follow up "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace", the good friends embark on a cross-country journey to Skywalker Ranch. The objective is to burglarize the cattle ranch and steal a copy of the unreleased film, so Linus can see it prior to he passes away.

Main Characters
The commitment and friendship among the characters are a central style in the movie. Eric operates in his daddy's vehicle dealership but aspires to be a comic book artist. Hutch lives in his mum's caravan and operates in a comics shop. Windows is a comics geek and the tech whizz of the group. He is madly in love with Zoe (Kristen Bell), who also operates at the comic book store and has feelings for him. Linus, on the other hand, is the most die-hard Star Wars fan among the group. He is also covertly in love with Zoe.

Star Wars Homage
The "Fanboys" trek throughout the nation to the West Coast to get into the carefully protected Skywalker Ranch is filled with lots of comedic adventures that are an absolute reward for Star Wars fans. They experience Trekkies (Star Trek fans) along the way causing some funny confrontations and they likewise meet Harry Knowles, the developer of Ain't It Cool News, who provides the map to Skywalker Ranch.
