Introduction
"Free Birds" is an American 3D computer-animated experience and funny movie released in 2013. Directed by Jimmy Hayward, the film includes an ensemble voice cast led by Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, and Amy Poehler. The movie offers an amusing retelling of a conventional Thanksgiving story from the viewpoint of the turkeys. It is a creative, family-friendly animation with a charmingly eccentric style.

Plot Overview
The story features 2 turkeys, Reggie (voiced by Owen Wilson) and Jake (voiced by Woody Harrelson), who belong to various social standings among their flock. Reggie, a clever and resourceful turkey, is considered an outcast due to the fact that of his insights about the real function behind an annual "turkey pardoning" event held at the farm. He gets chosen and conserved by the U.S. President's child for the pardoning event, which parts him from the others. Living a luxury life with pizzas and Spanish telenovelas, Reggie's life is upturned when Jake, the president of 'The Turkey Freedom Front', abducts him.

Jake, believing that Reggie is the "Great Turkey", needs him to fulfill the mission of travelling back in time to the very first Thanksgiving and change the course of history. He wishes to make sure that turkeys are off the Thanksgiving menu. The duo commandeer a top-secret time maker in a federal government lab and triggered on their historical adventure to the year 1621.

The Thanksgiving Adventure
Showing up simply days before the very first Thanksgiving, the duo encounter a flock of wild turkeys who live in fear of the human settlers intending to hunt them for the banquet. Specifically, they meet Jenny (voiced by Amy Poehler), the beautiful, intense and enthusiastic turkey who catches Reggie's attention. In the procedure of the bird mission, Reggie falls in love with Jenny. The wild turkeys reside in the wilderness, camouflaging with nature to evade the settlers led by Myles Standish (voiced by Colm Meaney), the colony's governor.

Conflict and Climax
Reggie and Jake, with their modern-day savvy, help the wild turkeys tactically set up defenses and plot to eliminate turkeys from the conventional Thanksgiving menu for excellent. There are a number of confrontations, action and funny scenes as the turkeys engage in a combative yet ridiculous war with the settlers. Ultimately, they succeed in their objective, and turkeys are removed from the Thanksgiving meals, making sure the survival of the turkey race.

Conclusion
"Free Birds" concludes with the birds going back to the present day. Reggie chooses to remain back with Jenny and the wild turkeys. Jake takes the time maker for his insane adventures while Reggie enjoyed his serene life with his love. However, the pizza delivery in today becomes a running gag, suggesting that it changes turkey as the main Thanksgiving meal.
