When a rare phenomenon gives police officer John Sullivan the chance to speak to his father, 30 years in the past, he takes the opportunity to prevent his dad's tragic death. Due to a rare solar phenomenon, a celestial time link is opened, and John engages with his father back in 1969. At first, both daddy and child are confused and hesitant, but they ultimately accept their unnatural contact. Delighted with this unusual opportunity, John informs Frank about his impending death and manages to save his life, changing the past.

Altered Reality and Consequences
Frank's survival, however, sets off a chain of responses causing a causal sequence in the timeline. Frank's ongoing presence results in a serial killer, the Nightingale Killer, murdering 8 more victims, including John's mother. In their original timeline, the killer was captured after three murders, however in the modified timeline, Frank's action indirectly allows the killer.

The Fight Against Time
John, recognizing the horrifying consequences of his well-intentioned actions, reveals the information about the Nightingale Killer to his father. Now, Frank and John, simultaneously in two various timelines, start a desperate race versus time to stop the Nightingale killer before he can murder John's mom and the staying victims. They exchange information through the radio, with John providing his daddy with the knowledge and insights gotten from criminal offense reports that would not exist up until numerous years later.

Climax
The climax involves a heart-stopping scenario where Frank and John concurrently combat the killer in the past and today respectively. Frank has a hard time to conserve his better half and the other victims back in 1969, while John struggles to incapacitate the older version of the murderer in 1999.

Resolution
Ultimately, Frank passes away during the battle with the killer in the past, breaking the radio link, however not before ensuring the killer himself likewise dies, efficiently conserving all the victims from his deadly spree.
