Jack Carter, a mob enforcer living in Las Vegas, travels back to his hometown of Seattle for his brother's funeral. During this visit, Carter realizes that the death of his brother was not accidental, but a murder. With this knowledge, Carter sets out to kill all those responsible.

In the climax, Carter saves Doreen from Cyrus and Jeremy, eliminating both. While doing so, he discovers that Geraldine was complicit in hiding the reality about Richie's murder, resulting in a heartbreaking fight.

Conclusion
The movie concludes with Carter avenging his bro's death and making sure Doreen's security. Regardless of the victory, he does not return to his old life in Vegas, given the heavy personal toll it took on him.
