For Jane White, life itself is a television program, and she dreams of becoming a star on the small screen. Convincing herself that Gerry King, a popular talk show host, is her birth father, she sets out on an adventurous road trip — aided by her equally looney boyfriend, Dick — to confront her "father" on the air, and, just maybe, make a splash on reality television.

"Jane White is Sick & Twisted" is a wacky 2002 funny movie written and directed by David Michael Latt. The film circles around the life of a disillusioned misfit, Jane White, played by starlet Kimberly J. Brown. The movie obtains elements of pop culture and the scary category and amalgamates them into an absurdist parody filled with wacky humor.

The story focuses on Jane, a mentally unsteady and socially uncomfortable character who busily believes she is the lost child of the popular fictional television talk-show host, Gerry. The latter is cleverly played by David L. Lander. Jane is an obsessive viewer of Gerry's produced reality program, "Gerry", which is filled with supernatural beings and outlandish events occurring in an apparently real town. She is heavily influenced by the program and blurs the lines in between fiction and truth because of her intense dependency and fixation on the show.

Concurrently, Jane acquires the idea that her mom inexplicably vanished after opting for a walk through the local shopping center; however, in reality, her mother had actually just left her daddy. After experiencing rejection from her psychological health therapist, who insists she needs to deal with truth, Jane takes these deceptions to new heights.

Journey & Development
After choosing to discover her alleged dad, Gerry, Jane starts an absurd journey filled with a series of funny and unreasonable encounters. These function bizarre cameos from the likes of Maureen McCormick, Dustin Diamond, Chris Hardwick, and Alley Mills, enhancing the movie's eccentric nature. Jane's antics lead her into crossing paths with an unsafe mental client known as "Burger", a strange person who has an eerie interest in butts. He tries to silence her after she exposes his criminal past.

Climax & Conclusion
The absurdity of the plot reaches its peak when Jane goes on Gerry's program together with Burger. The finale centers around a wild and outrageous clash on the set, which strangely mirrors the surrealist aspects of the show Jane so passionately appreciates. The film ends in an equally twisted way, with Jane finding herself residing in a various delusion about her identity, rendering the audience bewildered and entertained.

"Jane White is Sick & Twisted" is a raucous roller coaster trip, providing a mockery of pop culture by deftly employing comic sensibilities.
