Plot
The plot of "Layover" focuses on a business person, Dan Morrison, who is taking a trip to Sydney for a service trip. The flight gets temporarily delayed and this results in a layover at LAX, where he meets a spectacular and appealing woman called Shelia. They have an instantaneous connection. Shelia is lethal, treacherous, and manipulative however puts an exterior of innocence and vulnerability that Dan succumbs to. They spend the night together and Dan gets up the next morning to find Shelia gone and he's left alone with a brief-case full of cash.

Twist and Turns
Dan Morrison perceives that Shelia and her escorts, Frank and Jimmy, are part of a malicious scheme. In a twist, the cash in the briefcase is no regular money, however taken money from a callous gangster called Savino, who is set on getting it back. The delights and chills increase when a corrupt police officer, detecive Lasko, is also thinking about getting a share of the money.

Disputes and Resolutions
Dan Morrison is stuck in a terrible situation with unidentified enemies trying to get him. He tries to capture a flight back to Chicago where he intends to discover security, but things do not go as prepared. He makes every effort to clear his name, save his life, and reunite with his family whilst trying to find out who set him up.

In the climax, a pivotal battle ensues on an airplane, where Shelia, Savino, Detective Lasko, and Dan are all present. In an attempt to conserve himself and stop the trouble, Dan manages to defeat Savino and Det. Lasko, proving his innocence. Regrettably, Shelia gets away, leaving the story open-ended.
