Plot Description
Embed in the 1790s, "Love & Friendship" centers on the gorgeous, cunning widow Lady Susan Vernon (played by Kate Beckinsale). She chooses to stay up until the chatter in the society dissipates.

During her stay, Lady Susan controls those around her and plots to protect a suitor, not simply for herself but also for her timid and hesitant daughter, Frederica. Amongst her tactics, she sets her sights on her brother-in-law, Reginald DeCourcy (Xavier Samuel), who is both charmingly naïve and conveniently rich.
