On the morning of his wedding to oil baron Peter Cucumber's daughter, Ollie receives a jigsaw puzzle from Stan as a wedding gift. The boys soon become absorbed in the puzzle. A taxi driver, butler, policeman and messenger boy join in as well.

Film Summary
"Me and My Pal" is a brief comedy movie launched in 1933. The movie was directed by Charles Rogers, produced by Hal Roach and starred Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, well known as Laurel & Hardy, among the most famous and seriously well-known comedy duos.

Plot
The film revolves around the day of Ollie's marriage to the daughter of a rich oil mogul, Peter Cucumber, played by James Finlayson. Ollie's wedding event preparations are thrown into mayhem when a jigsaw puzzle, a gift from Stan, becomes an addicting distraction to everybody who enters into contact with it, resulting in a series of amusing occurrences.

The motion picture opens with Ollie and Stan sharing a space, with Ollie preparing for his wedding while Stan, totally unconcerned to the day's significance, is absorbed in his jigsaw puzzle. Despite Ollie's efforts to ignore the puzzle, he is soon pulled into the same fascination, leading them both to forget the time.

Soon, Ollie's fiancée and father-in-law to be arrive, only to find the groom and his best male deep into the puzzle. Disappointed and confused, they too fall under the spell of the puzzle. Consequently, 3 cab driver, hired and forgotten by Ollie and Stan, follow suit, followed by the authorities contacted us to deal with the abandoned taxis. In the end, everyone in the house ends up being consumed with the puzzle, obliviously spiraling into humorous turmoil.

Humour Style
The funny in "Me and My Pal" is mainly based upon situational humor and slapstick funny. Much of the funniness originates from the absurdity of how a simple jigsaw puzzle can become such a central diversion, delaying a significant event like a wedding event. Punchlines are positioned tactically throughout the series and the characters' elegant responses to the puzzle-play add to the hilarity of the movie.

End Scene
The film reaches its comic climax when the disappointed bride, played by Jacqueline Wells, not able to understand the distraction, jilts the groom, running away with the chauffeur. As the oil magnate follows his daughter, Ollie, after tearing himself from the puzzle, is left alone with Stan. The movie ends with the duo continuing their video game, nonchalantly talking about the 'puzzle' of the vanished bride.
