In a last-ditch effort to save his career, sports agent JB Bernstein dreams up a wild game plan to find Major League Baseball’s next great pitcher from a pool of cricket players in India. He soon discovers two young men who can throw a fastball but know nothing about the game of baseball. Or America. Plot Summary
The movie starts with J.B. Bernstein, a struggling sports agent, trying to sign high-profile clients to keep his business afloat. Bernstein develops a non-traditional strategy to discover baseball's next fantastic pitcher in the not likely place: India.

Bernstein persuades a wealthy entrepreneur to finance a reality show "Million Dollar Arm" that would look for the fastest pitcher amongst Indian cricket players. He believes India's love for cricket might uncover a hidden talent pool of powerful pitchers. He travels to India with former baseball scout Ray Poitevint (Alan Arkin) to launch the program.

The competitors is a success, and two kids from rural India, Dinesh Patel (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku Singh (Suraj Sharma), win the program. Neither of them has actually ever left their villages, let alone flown aboard an airplane. They are brought to Los Angeles, where Bernstein is charged with preparing them for a Major League Baseball tryout within several months.

The change of environment is challenging for Dinesh and Rinku, leading to culture shock and homesickness. Bernstein is also faced with the obstacle of training 2 boys who barely comprehend baseball. The interaction and cultural barriers test Bernstein's perseverance, and he ignores his duty towards Dinesh and Rinku as he stays preoccupied with restoring his sinking profession.

Things start to change when Brenda (Lake Bell), Bernstein's renter and love interest, gives his attention that Dinesh and Rinku require care beyond professional training. Bernstein experiences a change of heart and prioritizes his function as a caretaker and mentor.

Climax & Conclusion
The climax of the film comes throughout the boys' last tryouts. Dinesh has a hard time however Rinku impresses the scouts. Despite the fact that Dinesh's baseball profession doesn't remove, he secures a college scholarship. Rinku's effective tryout leads him to sign an agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates, marking a significant victory for Bernstein's gamble.

"Million Dollar Arm" concludes with Bernstein reflecting on the journey.
