Introduction
"Mirror Mirror" is a 2012 American family adventure fantasy movie based upon the fairy tale "Snow White" collected by the Brothers Grimm. The film, directed by Tarsem Singh, offers a visually sensational and humorous take on the classic story, with Julia Roberts in the role of the wicked Queen Clementianna and Lily Collins as Snow White.

Plot
The story unfolds as the wicked Queen Clementianna, who married Snow White's daddy King, takes control of the kingdom when the King mysteriously vanishes. Poor Snow White is forced to live a life of isolation in the castle till her 18th birthday. The vain and self-obsessed Queen, to maintain her guideline over the kingdom and to fund her luxurious lifestyle, levies heavy taxes on her impoverished subjects.

On her birthday, Snow White chooses to slip out of the castle to check out the village. She is stunned to find the extreme hardship that the people are living in as an outcome of Queen's harsh guideline. In the village, she meets Prince Alcott, who has actually been robbed by the 7 dwarves, now infamous highwaymen. Unaware of each other's royal identities, they are instantly drawn to each other.

Conflict
When the Queen discovers Snow White's growing popularity amongst the villagers and her love with Prince Alcott - whom the Queen desires for herself - she purchases her assistant, Brighton, to eliminate Snow White. Rather, Brighton releases Snow White into the forest, where she is discovered by the 7 dwarves. The dwarves initially mistrust her but ultimately, they form a close bond and teach Snow White how to combat, not simply for herself, however for the entire kingdom.

Climax
The Queen deceives Prince Alcott with a love potion, however Snow White crashes their wedding event, planning to save the Prince. A fight ensues where Snow White, the dwarves, and the villagers stand up against the Queen's beastly minions. Snow White ultimately manages to break the Queen's spell over Alcott, but during the fight, the Queen falls under her own magical mirror, vanishing permanently.

Conclusion
Prince Alcott, now in love with Snow White, proposes to her, and the kingdom is finally freed from the overbearing guideline of the Queen. Snow White is crowned Queen and grace is shown to Brighton. Snow White and the Prince rule with generosity and compassion, making sure the kingdom prospers.

The motion picture reimagines an iconic fairy tale with a contemporary twist while keeping the appeal and morality of the initial story undamaged. In this feminist retelling, Snow White is changed from a damsel in distress into a strong, brave heroine who saves the Prince and her kingdom, showing herself to be just as valiant and resourceful as her male equivalent.

Overall Review
"Mirror Mirror" is a lavish, colorful, and amusing phenomenon that attract both children and adults with its unique blend of fairy tale magic, sensational visual results, wonderful efficiencies, and creative humor. The film's empowering and inspiring representation of Snow White uses a much-needed upgrade to the traditional fairy tale princess narrative.
