Missy McCloud is the most beautiful girl in school and Johnny Dingle has been in love with her for years. One night, Johnny is killed trying to win her over, and soon he comes back from the dead, and wins Missy's heart.

Intro
"My Sweetheart's Back" is a 1993 romantic zombie funny directed by Bob Balaban. The film, embeded in a little Texan town, focuses on the life of Johnny Dingle, a high school trainee who resurrects from the dead as a zombie to go to the senior prom with his high school sweetie, Missy McCloud.

Plot Overview
The film begins with Johnny Dingle narrating his one-sided love for Missy McCloud because their childhood. Hoping to ask Missy to the prom, Johnny phases a phony robbery at the shop where she works, intending to foil the robbery and impress her. He resumes his regular life with abnormally high spirit, unbothered by his death, and focused on keeping his senior prom date with Missy. As Johnny's zombie status advances, he is required to consume human flesh to survive, which degenerates into a number of comic scenarios in the community.
