Via a magic mirror, Twilight Sparkle travels into an alternate universe in order to recover a crown that was stolen from the Crystal Empire. Upon her arrival she is horrified to learn that she has turned into a human.

Overview
"My Little Pony: Equestria Girls" (2013) is an animated musical fantasy funny movie directed by Jayson Thiessen. Debuted as a spin-off to the ever-popular television series "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", the film introduces a new measurement to the series, called the parallel world of Equestria Girls, where the pony characters are people.

Plot
The story begins when Twilight Sparkle's crown, the 'Element of Magic', is taken by her old enemy, Sunset Shimmer, who vanishes into a wonderful mirror. Twilight pursues Sunset Shimmer to recuperate her stolen crown, and ends up in an alternate universe that is strikingly parallel to Equestria, that replaces the pony universe with a human world. She changes into a human teen and lands in Canterlot High School, an establishment familiar yet odd - a location where her fellow ponies are not ponies any longer however teenage human counterparts.

Golden continues to deal with her new body and foreign customized of a regular high school while attempting to mix in. She meets human versions of her Equestria good friends - Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity. However, they do not acknowledge her, troubled by a split brought on by Sunset Shimmer. Twilight needs to get the trust and friendship of the human variations of her good friends to achieve her goals.

Sundown Shimmer, the villainess, techniques the school into voting her as the Princess of the Fall Formal, a position which enables her to utilize the crown and its magic for her evil intentions. Twilight, however, desires challenge Sunset Shimmer and win the title herself to secure her crown.

Climax and Resolution
A typical high school drama unfolds as Twilight browses the social circles of teen life, but with the heroic mission of winning the crown. She and the Equestria women form a band to win the school musical showcase, thus gaining appeal amongst the trainees. In culmination, Twilight accomplishments over Sunset Shimmer by unveiling her true, wicked intentions to the school, and she wins the title of the Princess of the Fall Formal.

When Sunset Shimmer tries to use the crown maliciously, she is subdued by Twilight and her friends, symbolically reflecting the 'Magic of Friendship.' Sundown Shimmer repents, and Twilight decides to stay as the Princess of the Fall Formal for a while longer, yet ultimately returns to Equestria, guaranteeing her brand-new buddies that she will go to once again.

Conclusion
"My Little Pony: Equestria Girls" defies the traditional limits of a magical and human world, offering both die-hard "My Little Pony" fans and newbies an amazing transformation of precious characters. The story emphasizes the power of companionship and trust in overcoming life's disputes. Thus, it broadens the scope of My Little Pony franchise further with its brand-new method to storytelling, stepping beyond different measurements, friendships, and understanding.
