The Quest
Percy, together with his pals Annabeth (a child of Athena) and Grover (a satyr), embarks on a daring mission across America to clear his name and prevent a war among the gods. This objective involves discovering the lightning bolt and returning it to Olympus before the summer season solstice. The trio come in person with monstrous creatures and unsafe challenges, including Medusa, the Hydra, and the Lotus-Eaters.

Significant Revelation
As the trio ventures through their mission, Percy discovers that his buddy, Luke, a child of Hermes, was the genuine burglar.
