Plot
"Pulse" follows the story of young college students based in Ohio, living in a world where innovation is a substantial part of their daily regimen. The film begins with the character, Josh (Jonathan Tucker), a hacker who take advantage of a strange wireless signal characterized by a black, thick compound. The encounter leaves him mentally interrupted, and he ultimately dedicates suicide.

His pal Mattie (Kristen Bell) finds herself trying to make sense of her friend's sudden demise. Her investigation results in Josh's space, where she finds his computer system on with a disturbing images in it. Josh's computer, now taken by Mattie, had a connection to the ghostly wireless signal, consequently impacting Mattie and those around her.

Helen, a doubter at first, is finally persuaded by the alarming scenario and help Mattie and Dexter in their attempt to prevent the invasion. Sadly, their effort appears helpless as they are unable to stop the invasion, and more people around them start to vanish.

Conclusion
In the end, survivors are delegated negotiate their method through a world now lived in by ghosts. The movie ends on a noticeably somber note, leaving a chilling impression as the staying inhabitants are revealed scrambling to survive in decaying cities with minimal resources.
