Thirteen-year-old Jesse is a typical teenager who hates his teacher, Mrs. Fink. While visiting a vintage clothing shop, Jesse sees a doll that looks exactly like his dreaded teacher, and he convinces the shopkeeper to sell it to him. When Jesse accidentally pierces the doll's arm with a sewing needle, he is shocked to find Mrs. Fink with her arm in a sling the next day and gets spooked when a spot on the doll's face appears, exactly where Mrs. Fink has a mole.

Introduction
"Shadow Zone: My Instructor Consumed My Research" is a 1997 fantasy-horror-comedy film directed by Stephen Williams and produced by Roger F. Corman. The film mixes aspects of comedy and horror, making it attracting teenagers and young adults.

Plot
The story starts when a 13-year-old young boy called Jesse Hackett, played by Sheldon Kennedy, comes across a creepy-looking doll that is really an ancient voodoo talisman called the "Shadows of the Homa". Jesse takes the doll house, unwittingly bringing along the turmoil and supernatural phenomena connected with it.

School and scholastic pressure are the least of Jesse's concerns as he soon finds that the doll has a life of its own. Any living being that crosses courses with the doll in anger ends up being put behind bars within it, developing into a mini figurine while their fiend is released into the real life.

Jesse's schoolteacher, Mr. Calthrop, played by Edward Faulkner, is the very first to experience the rage of the doll. After taking it from Jesse in class, he crosses paths with the doll in anger, triggering the supernatural curse. Like magic, Mr. Calthrop's fiend is released and goes on an intimidating spree while his physical kind is trapped inside the doll.

Difficulties
Jesse should browse the nightmare of his monstrous instructor and bring an end to the supernatural mayhem unfolding in his life. His tests of nerve and bravery go far beyond anything he's ever dealt with in school. With the assistance of his buddies, Cody (Duane Chaney) and Geneva (Bjanka Murgel), Jesse embarks on an adventurous objective to reverse the curse of the voodoo talisman.

Resolution
In the climactic finale, Jesse, Cody, and Geneva confront the monstrous spirit of Mr. Calthrop in a heart-stopping showdown. They handle to trick the evil Mr. Calthrop into returning to his doll counterpart. Jessie then manages to reverse menstruation, releasing the wrongfully locked up souls and eradicating the fiends forever. With the doll's power lessened, the trio lastly goes back to their regular lives.

Conclusion
