When the kingdom's most wanted-and most charming-bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, he's taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn's curious captor, who's looking for her ticket out of the tower where she's been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

Introduction
"Tangled" is a 2010 American 3D computer-animated musical experience film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and launched by Walt Disney Pictures. It is their 50th animated function movie directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard and includes the voice cast of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy. The movie is a lively and engaging take on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Rapunzel".

Plot Summary
The film begins by presenting us to a wonderful golden flower with healing powers, safeguarded by Mother Gothel (Donna Murphy), who uses it to remain constantly young. When the Queen falls seriously sick, the flower is utilized to cure her which results in her newborn daughter, Princess Rapunzel, inheriting the magical capabilities of the flower in her extremely long, golden hair. Gothel abducts Rapunzel to keep the secret to eternal youth, raising her in a separated tower, convincing Rapunzel that the outside world is dangerous.

On the eve of her 18th birthday, Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) expresses her desire for experience and to see the floating lanterns that appear in the sky yearly on her birthday, uninformed they are launched by her real moms and dads, the King and Queen, in memory of her. Enter the charming rogue Flynn Ryder (Zachary Levi), who accidentally discovers Rapunzel's tower while on the follow stealing the kingdom's lost princess's crown. Rapunzel convinces him to assist her to see the lantern festival in exchange for the crown she has hidden.

The Journey
As they journey to the kingdom, Rapunzel experiences the world for the very first time, overcoming her worries, and forming a budding romance with Flynn. They come across criminals, avert Gothel and kingdom guards, and form a bond with Maximus, the determined royal horse. Rapunzel finds out to defend herself, realizing that the world isn't as scary as her "mom" made it out to be.

The Revelation
After experiencing the lantern celebration, Flynn reveals his real name, Eugene Fitzherbert, to which Rapunzel confesses she's the lost princess. Nevertheless, their intimate moment is interrupted when Gothel, having actually discovered Rapunzel's departure, tricks her into going back to the tower. When Eugene comes to rescue Rapunzel, he's fatally injured by Gothel. Rapunzel tries to heal him but Eugene cuts off her hair, causing it to turn brown and lose its magic, causing Gothel's rapid aging and eventual death.

Conclusion
Thinking to be passing away, Eugene admits his love for Rapunzel. A tear from Rapunzel, which still consists of the flower's magic, falls on Eugene and heals him. The couple go back to the kingdom where Rapunzel is accepted back as the lost princess and reunited with her birth parents. The movie ends with Rapunzel and Eugene ultimately marrying, living happily ever after.
