Introduction
"The Commando" is a 2022 American action thriller movie directed by Asif Akbar and composed by Koji Steven Sakai. The film trailblazingly strikes the action list with its story that integrates a captive crisis, drug smuggling, family characteristics, and gritty fight series.

Plot
"The Commando" follows John, an ex-Special Forces sergeant (played by Michael Jai White), who is called for an unexpected objective after a criminal cartel takes two DEA representatives hostage. The representative who got abducted occurs to be John's child, played by Jayden Zachary, for this reason bringing the individual angle into the plot. His pressing duty is, for that reason, to conserve his kid and the captive DEA agents.

The story unfolds in New Mexico, where the cartel has a safe and secure, booby-trapped meth lab concealed within a domestic residence. John gradually investigates, revealing a more extensive and murky underworld, turning the objective far more complicated than a simple rescue operation.

Cast and Characters
White's character John brings intensity, strength, and vulnerability to the function. The warmth in his relationship with his boy and the challenging characteristics with the rest of his family add depth to the character. Jayden Zachary, the kid, plays his part well, being the young and positive DEA agent.

Jeff Fahey, who depicts the family good friend and congressman Tommy Wick, wonderfully browses the gray zones of political and criminal connections. The interplay in between the lead character and the antagonist, portrayed remarkably by Mickey Rourke, leads to lots of high-stakes scenes.

Action Sequences and Cinematography
"The Commando" provides when it concerns action series and fight scenes. There's a noteworthy fight in a motel space that is well-choreographed and appealing, similar to the gritty close-quarters fights in the "Bourne" movies or "John Wick". The sequence shows John's unique forces ability to make use of the environment around him to his benefit to deactivate, paralyze, and eliminate his opponents. Considered that White is understood for his martial arts knowledge, it's no surprise that these sequences are some of the film's highlights.

Cinematographer Garry Waller captures area well, using the location of the settings to stress the claustrophobic quality of the fights between the characters.

Conclusion
"The Commando" is an interesting addition to the action-thriller genre that tactfully integrates components of household drama, crime, political corruption, and harsh, high-energy battle sequences. Michael Jai White's seasoned efficiency anchors the movie, upping the ante for the whole cast. It provides thrilling and suspenseful minutes, coupled with the emotional toll seen in the depths of household dynamics affected by their links to criminal activity and political worlds.
