Additional conflicts originate from Yellowleg's guilt over killing Kit's kid, the dubious pasts of Turk and Billy, and their potential betrayal of Yellowleg.

Cinematography and Themes

It exemplifies the grim truths of the post-Civil War era while attempting to reveal human strengths and weaknesses. In spite of being Peckinpag's debut movie as a director, it prospers in displaying his capacity for raw storytelling and rich characterization. It is identified by its gritty reality, flawed yet likable characters, and a rich undercurrent of deeper themes beyond the surface area level of the western category.
