Plot:
"The Forger" is a 2014 American criminal offense thriller movie directed by Philip Martin and starring John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, and Tye Sheridan.

The film focuses on a competent forger named Raymond Cutter (John Travolta) who battles with life as a burglar and the dedication to his kid Will (Tye Sheridan). Raymond gets out of prison early to be with his ailing kid, by making a deal with a criminal activity distribute boss. The deal is, that in return for his liberty, he needs to create a painting by Claude Monet and take the original from a museum.

Main Characters & Their Roles:
John Travolta as Raymond Cutter portrays a con artist who turns to illegal methods to save his life and those he cares about. Christopher Plummer plays the role of Raymond's dad Joseph Cutter, who assists Raymond in his plans. Tye Sheridan as Will Cutter, Raymond's son, is dying from a brain tumor and wants to meet his long-term desire of fulfilling his mother, who deserted them long back.

Moving on with the Plan:
After Raymond's release, he gets ready for the art break-in while attempting to reconnect with his separated son and stop his cancer through unlawful ways. Meanwhile, Raymond's old male, who is likewise his partner, starts the recreation of the Monet painting.

Satisfying Last Wish:
Raymond and his child go on a journey to fulfill Will's last desire to fulfill his mother. On their journey, dad and boy share many remarkable moments, making their bond more powerful.

The Heist:
Raymond controls the museum's security system and burglarize the museum effectively with his daddy's support. They replace the initial with the forged painting.

Last Act:
Raymond's boy Will passes away, not knowing that his father has dedicated a criminal activity. The owner of the initial painting recognizes that they hold the created painting, while the real one is being taken pleasure in by the criminal activity distribute boss. Raymond avenges his son's death by planning and eliminating the distribute manager brutally but winds up badly injured and taken by the police.

Ending:
Despite the awful ending, the movie highlights the lengths a daddy would go to save his boy. Although Raymond's efforts could not conserve his boy, the story leaves the audience with a profound understanding of the battles of a guy attempting to do right by his progeny, while conceding to the criminal world he understands so well.
