Overview
"The Holiday" is a romantic comedy film launched in 2006. Directed by Nancy Meyers, the film stars Cameron Diaz as Amanda Woods, a proprietress of a successful ad agency in Los Angeles, and Kate Winslet as Iris Simpkins, a London-based newspaper columnist. The plot focuses on these 2 ladies who swap their homes during the Christmas holiday season to escape their frustrating love lives.

Initial Problems
Amanda, emotionally isolated, fights with a frustrating relationship with her unfaithful partner. On the other hand, Iris can not get over her unrequited love for a guy who is about to get married.
