Introduction
"The Watermen" is a 2011 scary film directed by Matt L. Lockhart, featuring Richard Riehle, Jason Mewes, Floyd Abel, and Tara Heston among others. This suspenseful and chilling motion picture has to do with a group of young travelers who encountered a clan of harsh, sea-based killers known as 'Watermen'.

Plot
The story begins when a group of five good friends prepare a weekend sea journey together. The passionate group includes a control freak called Mike, an opportunistic womanizer named Clinton, an adorable addict named Dobbs, a diligent person called Trail, and a principled protagonist called Brett.

After acquiring a boat and going out to sea, their amazing journey develops into a problem when they face engine problem while deep in the waters. After handling to send a call for help, they are remarkably caught by a group of watermen who come to their 'rescue'. Unbeknownst to them, these watermen are associated with gruesome activities concerning unusual blue diamonds.

Conflict
Upon capture, the friends find the horrifying fact about the watermen. They're not normal fishermen, they're desensitized murderers who trap unsuspecting victims under the guise of being useful sea folks. The watermen's primary objective is to find the valuable blue diamonds which Grant, their leader, believes to be trapped inside people. This belief comes from an olden household tradition passed down through generations.

Using an ancient surgery, the buddies undergo unimaginable abuse as the watermen actually mine their bodies for diamonds, painting a grisly picture that triggers fear and desperation amongst the making it through good friends.

The Climax
The motion picture approaches its climax as the principal characters battle for survival. Brett, who is more resistant and vigilant than his good friends, becomes the ray of wish for the group. He manages to leave his captivity and fights back versus the watermen. Brett utilizes their own tools and methods versus them, growing more callous as he defends his and his buddies' lives.

During the climactic fight, Brett kills numerous of the watermen in self-defense. He strives to avenge his buddies and intends to caution others of the approaching threat. Sadly, in spite of his worthy efforts, he is unable to save all his buddies.

Conclusion
"The Watermen" ends with Brett managing to exterminate most of the watermen and leaving to security on a rescue boat. The film leaves the audience with a chilling afterthought as Brett enjoys the burning dock decline into the distance, symbolizing completion of a horrific experience but likewise highlighting that such enormous individuals might be prowling anywhere.

With a blend of scary and thriller, "The Watermen" makes sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seat. It's littered with gore, fear, and the defend survival, making "The Watermen" an unique maritime horror flick.
