A Group of teenagers test the legend of an immortal witch and get more than they bargained for. It's almost Halloween and six young people, spooked but not undaunted by the folklore surrounding an old haunted house, make their way to the abode of the legendary Wicked, perhaps hoping to provoke the malevolent witch, but clearly not prepared for what they've certainly unleashed.

Introduction
"The Wicked" is an American supernatural scary film, released in 2013. The film is directed by Peter Winther and written by Michael Vickerman. The movie presents a tale about a group of teens that conjure up the wrath of a witches curse, causing terrible and exhilarating effects.

Plot Overview
The film unfolds in a village intimidated by an old urban myth concerning a wicked witch that supposedly lives in a separated, old home referred to as 'Open Hearth.' If a window is left open, it is stated that the witch will pertain to take a child for her own. The story begins with a girl who goes missing, which the town folks credit to the so-called "wicked" witch.

Teenage Adventure and Horror Unveils
Later, a group of curious teenagers including Max and Zach (two brothers), Sammy (a lady Zach has a crush on), Tracy (Sammy's friend), and Julie (Max's buddy), decide to expose this fable. They plan a night-time visit to the Open Hearth home to deal with the witch. After some thrill and spookiness, they at first don't encounter the witch and persuade themselves that the stories are untrue. However, their peace is brief as soon the "wicked" witch starts her scary haunt.

The Wrath of the Witch
The experience takes a terrible twist as they provoke the rage of the witch, resulting in a chain of inexplicably scary events. They find that the witch stays young by delighting in the flesh of kids. One by one, the teens face the savagery of the witch, starting with Tracy, who gets abducted much like the young girl at the start of the movie. Their attempts to leave only result in more horror, and in a gruesome turn of occasions, Max ends up sacrificing himself to secure Zach and Sammy.

Conclusion
In the ending, before Max's sacrifice, he 'd handled to seriously wound the witch using a silver knife received previously from a regional policeman. With the witch seriously injured, Zach and Sammy discover a chance to leave. They prosper however not without further bloodshed and sacrifice. Zach and Sammy go back to town as the only survivors, left to tell the tale of the blight of the wicked witch. The audience is entrusted to an uncertain ending - the witch, though severely injured, is still mysteriously alive.

Total film Reception
"The Wicked" is a cooling story which combines teen adventure with extreme horror. Regardless of some mixed reviews, the movie manages to provide some adequately scary minutes and thrills. Nevertheless, some critics argued that its predictable storyline and cliched horror aspects limit its potential to genuinely horrify viewers. However, it produces a remarkable watch if you fancy a simple tale about the wicked lurking in the dark, and the irreversible consequences of disturbing it.
