Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as "Tomorrowland."

Background and Plot Introduction
"Tomorrowland" is a sci-fi adventure film launched in 2015 directed by Brad Bird. The film stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, and Raffey Cassidy. The movie is named after a futuristic zone in the Disneyland theme park. It is a gripping narrative about a developer and a science lover on a mission to uncover the tricks of a place somewhere in time and space.

Main Characters
The movie starts in 1964 with a young boy named Frank Walker (Thomas Robinson) participating in the New York World's Fair. He presents a jetpack he made to David Nix (Hugh Laurie), who dismisses it as unwise. A girl called Athena (Raffey Cassidy) is impressed with Frank's optimism and offers him a pin that has the emblem of a "T".

Adventure to Tomorrowland
Fast forward to the present, Casey Newton (Britt Robertson), an intense teenager, stumbles upon a similar pin that provides her a vision of Tomorrowland, a futuristic city. Captivated, she attempts whatever to return to the city, which leads her to a grumpy old Frank Walker (George Clooney). Initially, Frank refuses to assist but later relents after robots attack them.

The Journey
With restored urgency, they take a trip to Paris and use a teleporting gadget to reach Tomorrowland. Upon arrival, they find the city in ruins. They satisfy Nix, who has actually become the city's guv and exposes that he built a tachyon maker efficient in anticipating mankind's doom, therefore causing the world's present dystopian state. He prepares to let the inevitable armageddon take place, as he believes mankind will not take actions to avoid it, in spite of warnings.

The Final Battle and Conclusion
Frank, Casey, and Athena disagree with Nix's pessimistic outlook. They think in humankind's potential to change the future. A fight occurs resulting in the damage of the prediction device. Regretfully, Athena dies but not prior to encouraging Frank, advising him to stay positive. The film concludes on a motivating note, with Frank and Casey recruiting young innovators and artists (similar to Athena as soon as hired Frank) across the world, giving them pins and welcoming them to Tomorrowland.

Total Reception
"Tomorrowland" presents a favorable message about not giving in to the despair that the future might appear to hold and believing in the power of human potential to cause modification. The film ties together elements of action, experience, and science fiction, involved a thrilling plot. Nevertheless, these styles and the complex plot received a blended reception. Although visually sensational with much appreciation provided to the performances of its main cast, some critics argued that the storytelling and the story were excessively complex and complicated. The movie underperformed at the box office regardless of it's star-studded cast and creative premise.
