The second movie in David Hare's Johnny Worricker trilogy. Loose-limbed spy Johnny Worricker, last seen whistleblowing at MI5 in Page Eight, has a new life. He is hiding out in Ray-Bans on the Caribbean islands of the title, eating lobster and calling himself Tom Eliot (he’s a poet at heart). We’re drawn into his world and his predicament when Christopher Walken strolls in as a shadowy American who claims to know Johnny. The encounter forces him into the company of some ambiguous American businessmen who claim to be on the islands for a conference on the global financial crisis. When one of them falls in the sea, their financial PR seems to know more than she's letting on. Worricker soon learns the extent of their shady activities and he must act quickly to survive when links to British prime minister Alec Beasley come to light.

Intro
"Turks & Caicos" is a British political thriller in the series of three television movies referred to as The Worricker Trilogy. Launched in 2014 and written and directed by David Hare, it stars Bill Nighy ahead role as Johnny Worricker, a former MI5 officer living under an incorrect identity.

Plot
Driven into hiding after his investigative activities in the very first film of the trilogy "Page Eight", Johnny Worricker is living on the islands under the name Tom Eliot. Picturesque as they may be, the Turks and Caicos Islands also offer an appropriate setting for underhand financial activities. Johnny's peaceful life is interrupted when CIA agent Curtis Pelissier, played by Christopher Walken, connects him to a group of misleading American businessmen who have actually convened on the islands for a conference.

Deciphering Intrigue
Led by a guy called Stirling Rogers, played by Rupert Graves, the entrepreneurs appear to be involved in shady dealings tied to the personal defense sector and worldwide security company called Gladstone. The suspicious death of among the guys throws Johnny into an investigation that unwinds a deep scandal including personal defense contracts, prohibited abuse websites, and funds misappropriation. As he digs much deeper into the web of deceit, corruption, and exploitation, he brings in his previous love interest and retired associate Margot Tyrell, played by Helena Bonham Carter, to help with exposing the scandal.

Political Undercurrents
The movie draws parallel with real-life political issues and highlights the moralities within government departments. Johnny finds himself captured in a webs of political power play in between a Prime Minister, Alec Beasley, played by Ralph Fiennes, who is thirsty for absolute power and a deceitful financial world that thrives on war profiteering. He comes head-to-head with both the British and American secret services who will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo.

Conclusion
As the film reaches its climax, Johnny Worricker finds himself with hard options to make. Can he outwit the effective forces lining up against him and expose the corruption? "Turks & Caicos" is an engaging 2nd installment to the Worricker trilogy, marked by intricate characters, sharp dialogue, and a twisting plot. The film ends with a cliffhanger, setting the stage for the final film in the trilogy, "Salting the Battlefield". With a remarkable cast and an intelligent story, it supplies a picture of intrigue and political maneuvering within the world of secret service.
