Way of the Wicked Poster

Lawrence Salva's script centers on a detective (Facinelli), on the trail of a murderer, who is led to believe that a local teenager, harboring some sort of strange supernatural power, may be involved. Slater plays the man's disbelieving boss, while Hauer plays a man-of-the-cloth who aids the cop on his mission.

Movie Introduction
The film "Way of the Wicked" is a supernatural thriller film directed by Kevin Carraway in 2014. Starring Christian Slater, the thriller tells the story of a mysterious teenage young boy Robbie Mueller (Jake Croker), who appears to be connected to a series of weird and inexplicable deaths in a village.

Plot
Captivating the audience through suspense and stress, the movie begins with a beginning. In this scene, a seemingly innocent kid Robbie is condemned and isolated by his peers. Gregg (Aren Buchholz) and Heather (Emily Tennant), two kids, implicate Robbie Mueller of being a devil after seeing him carry out curious "magic" tricks. As a result, Robbie's dad, Officer Mueller (Mike Dooley), transfers them away to another city to prevent additional complications.

Seven years later on, the Muellers go back to their old town. Amidst the chaos, Heather, now an attractive teenager, falls in love with Robbie, reviving their relationship and causing a rift with her sweetheart, Greg (Buchholz).

Their romance, nevertheless, links with a series of mysterious fatal accidents happening within the community. Heather's partner Gregg, her daddy John (Slater), and the latter's authorities partner are all victims of these mishaps.

Supernatural Elements
The supernatural component takes a turn when a priest, Father Henry (Vinnie Jones), curiously takes interest in these deaths and Robbie. He thinks demonic impact, associating these incidents to a prophecy foretold by an ancient demon Thermidorian, who seeks to get in touch with the human world through a chosen child, that child apparently being Robbie.

Twist and Ending
Although Robbie is a reward to the audiences as the suspected wicked lead character, a greater discovery unfolds as the movie nears its end. The audiences find out that it was Heather, not Robbie, who possessed the demonic powers. Robbie, who possessed the ability to see these powers in others, had actually tried to calm Heather's powers throughout their youth. This makes Heather the Thermidorian.

The demonic powers had actually influenced Heather to eliminate anyone she viewed as a risk to Robbie and her romance. When Robbie finally confronts Heather about it, instead of accepting it, Heather goes on rampage quickly killing him. Eventually, the priest steps in, performing an exorcism which leads to Heather's death.

Conclusion
"Way of the Wicked" is a film that entwines a love story with the intriguing aspects of the supernatural, mystery and suspense. The plot twist about Heather being the devil looms as a big surprise, capturing each viewer off guard. The film ends on a bitter note with Robbie and Heather's deaths but they are freed from the demonic belongings.
