Yellowbird lives in the ruins of an old house. He lacks the confidence to leave his home, no matter how much Bug, his labybird friend, tries to convince him to go out into the world. Attempts to toughen him up have had little success, so Bug seizes an opportunity that leaves Yellowbird unexpectedly finding himself the new leader of the flock that is migrating to Africa. Still, lacking faith in his own abilities and with danger and imminent failure lurking around every corner, our feathered hero is forced to either find the strength required to work with the team or bow out and stay hidden away forever.

Overview
"Yellowbird" is an animated household adventure film directed by Christian De Vita and produced by TeamTO and Haut et Court. At first launched in France in 2014, it was later dispersed worldwide. The screenplay is composed by Antoine Baraud and Guilhem Lesaffre, with Cory Edwards as the writer for its American variation. The film includes the voices of Seth Green, Dakota Fanning, Jim Rash, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Danny Glover in the English variation.

Plot Summary
The movie is centered on the character of Yellowbird (voiced by Seth Green), a timid bird who has actually not left his nest and is yet to find the world. After the leader of a flock of birds, Darius (voiced by Danny Glover), dies due to an injury from a feline attack, Yellowbird discovers himself thrust into a sudden obligation. Prior to Darius passes away, he deceives Yellowbird into leading his flock to Africa for the winter migration. In specific, a strong connection grows between Yellowbird and a beautiful female bird, Delf (voiced by Dakota Fanning), whose requiring mom constantly doubts his capabilities.

Inner Transformation
As the journey progresses, Yellowbird progresses from a shy and inexperienced bird into a positive leader. Even though he makes several errors along the way and most of the time leads the group into risk rather of leading them out, Yellowbird gains from his experiences. He not only discovers how to deal with predators and find food but likewise to trust his instincts. Thanks to these experiences, Yellowbird starts to think in himself and his ability to deal with responsibility and decision-making.
