An actor should be able to put themselves in the shoes of any character they are playing, and to do that they need to have the ability to separate themselves from any personal accessories. If an actor loves someone else, they might be too emotionally purchased the relationship to be able to completely embody the character they are playing. An actor should be able to put their own sensations and feelings aside and focus on the character they are playing. Self-love and self-confidence are essential for a star to be able to do this. A star needs to have the ability to rely on their own abilities and be comfortable in their own skin in order to be successful.
