An excellent teacher must have an extensive understanding of the guidelines and principles of the subject they are teaching. This understanding permits them to supply their students with a strong foundation of understanding. On the other hand, an excellent student needs to have the ability to recognize when the rules can be broken or exceptions can be made. This needs a much deeper level of understanding and the capability to believe seriously and artistically. By having both a great instructor and a great student, the learning process is enriched and the trainee has the ability to get a more comprehensive understanding of the subject.
