"A sword never kills anybody; it is a tool in the killer's hand"

In this quote, Seneca is stating that a sword in itself is not efficient in eliminating someone however it is just a tool that requires an individual to wield it in order for it to be utilized to commit murder. Basically, he is implying that the responsibility for any violent act lies not with the weapon, but with the person who selects to utilize it for harm.
